Danny Mayfield, Jr., age 61, of Sedalia passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at his home.

It was on the 28th day of March in 1962 in Omaha, Nebraska that Leon Jones and Wilma Mayfield welcomed their son, Danny Lee Mayfield, into their home.

On February 20, 2010 he was united in marriage to Bobi Jane Viebrock in Omaha, Nebraska.

Danny had a strong work ethic. He worked for Label Manufacturing for seventeen years in Omaha and for the last four years he worked for Duke Manufacturing in Sedalia.

Danny attended a Baptist Church in Omaha, before moving to Sedalia.

He enjoyed playing pool, football, and was an avid Steelers fan. In the early 80's he weight lifted competitively and also did body building, earning the title of Mister Nebraska.

Danny is survived by is his wife, Bobi, of Stover; his four children, Dorshae Mayfield of Omaha, Nebraska; Amber Mayfield of Omaha, Nebraska; Ashley Mayfield of Omaha, Nebraska, and Danny Lee Mayfield, Jr. "DJ" of Stover; one step daughter, Brianna Holland of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin; his mom, Wilma; five siblings, Dottie, Leon, Kelvin, Kervin, and Kathy; two grandchildren; mother-in-law, Jane Viebrock of Smithton; special aunt and uncle, Cheryl and Gary Boeschen of Sedalia; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; along with other aunts, uncles, and friends.

In addition to his dad, he is preceded in death by two siblings and his father-in-law, Bob Viebrock.
Private services will be held at a later date.
