Clara Esther Albin

Clara Esther Albin, age 87 of Tipton, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her daughter and son-in-laws's home around noon, Wednesday, September 16, 2020. She was born June 23, 1933 at Cortland, New York to Vernon LeRoy and Clara Winifred (Towne) Peck.

Clara joined the U.S. Air Force in 1953 and served for over 2 years. In 1955 she married Joe Moody and they had 6 children. They settled in Syracuse, Missouri where they raised their family. All six children graduated from Tipton High School.

In 1984 Clara was united in marriage to George Albin and were together until his passing.

Clara was a member of the Fortuna Baptist Church and the Tipton American Legion and retired from the Missouri Department of Corrections. She enjoyed her cats, traveling and her family.

Clara Esther Albin is preceded in death by her parents and her husband George Albin.

Clara is survived by her sons Steven Moody, Sr. and wife Sigrid of Darlington, Maryland and James Moody and wife Allison of Green Ridge, Missouri; daughters Debbie Hays of Tuscumbia, Missouri, Wendy Fairfax and husband Eugene of Jefferson City, Missouri, Kathy Meyer and husband Lloyd of Tipton, Missouri and Mary Franken and husband Steve of Bunceton, Missouri; brothers Richard Peck and wife Alberta of Tipton, Missouri and Vernon Peck and wife Martha of Glennville, Georgia; 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 P.M., Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Syracuse, Missouri.
