Cheryl Ward

Cheryl Lyn Ward, 71 of Mora, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021, at her home with her family.

She was born October 24, 1949, in Montebello, California, a daughter of Robert Franklin and Betty Louise (Smith) Knighten.  Cheryl is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard A. Ward Sr.

Richard and Cheryl were married on June 16th, 1967 in Norwalk California.  Cheryl is also survived by her two sisters, Susan L. Blancett and Linda Knight-Gilhuly.  Her son Richard A Ward. Jr. and his wife Amy Ward of Portland, Oregon, daughter Staci Lyn Ward of Mora, Missouri as well as her two grandchildren, Ty Ward and Tate Ward of Portland Oregon.

Cheryl was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Cheryl also worked for 17 years at Bothwell Regional Health Center taking care of patient’s accounts. She was a member of the Peoria Indian Tribe of Oklahoma and she enjoyed crafting, home décor and watching cooking shows. Cheryl most of all loved taking care of her family and was very proud of her children.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at the Stover Cemetery.
