Cheryl Rae Boookout, age 63 passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at her home in Boonville, Missouri.
Cheryl, an only child, was born to Charles Edwin and Marilee (Eichelberger) Bookout. She and her parents lived in Tipton, where Cheryl spent the majority of her life.
As a high school girl, Cheryl was very athletic and excelled in soft ball which she continued to play as an adult. Because she was a beautiful and talented girl she was chosen to represent Tipton at the Missouri State Fair Queen and the Miss Missouri Pageants. She was chosen at the State Fair by FFA members to represent Missouri at the American Royal in Kansas City. Cheryl belonged to the 1st Christian Church in Tipton.
As an adult, Cheryl worked as the school nurse in the Boonville school system and then later in the California school system. She worked in a Bank for a while and also helped on the farm. She loved gardening and crafts. She was a great fan of the KC Chiefs and car racing...especially Carl Edwards.
Cheryl's children Sunny and Cass were the real loves of her life and when her grandsons Shane and Chase came along they were adored by their Grandmother.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Marilee Bookout.
Surviving Cheryl are her daughter Sunny Lee Allison and son Cassidy Harrison Walters; grandsons Shane Lee (age 11) and Chase Lee (age 7) Chamberlain.
Memorial Service for Cheryl Rae Bookout will be Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 7:30 PM with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 7:30 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Meisenheimer Funeral Home in memory of Cheryl.
