Charlotte Elsie Green

Charlotte Elsie Green, age 91, passed away early Thursday, March 21, 2019 in Jefferson City.

Charlotte was born to Charles W. and Elsie A. Blackwell in St. Louis and grew up there along with her three siblings.

On October 2, 1948, Charlotte and Ivy Eugene (Gene) Green married and spent over 50 years together before his passing in 1999. They were blessed with three sons and a daughter. In 1972 they purchased the Western Auto/Otasco Store in Tipton, where they made their home. They were business owners for many years throughout their marriage.

Charlotte was a very active member of the Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland and dedicated herself to the organization. She was a Girl Scout for 85 years, and had wonderful adventures traveling around the world with her daughter. Charlotte was a member of the Tipton United Methodist Church. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, enjoyed painting ceramics, playing Uno and Skip-bo, reading, watching birds, and spending time with her family.

Preceding Charlotte in death was her husband Eugene Green; her son David E. Green; parents Charles and Elsie Blackwell; brothers Charles and William Blackwell and her sister Mildred Graff.

Those surviving Charlotte are sons Stephen R. Green and his wife Janet of Tipton, Jeffrey E. Green and his wife Debbie of Lake of the Ozarks, daughter Carolyn D. Imhoff and her husband Jeffrey of Jefferson City, and daughter-in-law Vickie Green of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren David Green, Dusty Springer, Dan Crippen, Roxanne Green, Charles Green, David Bledsoe, Eddie Bledsoe, Heather Licklider, Andrea Hangen, Brittany Green, Jonathon Imhoff and Ashlie Beck; 11 great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Charlotte E. Green will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 26 at the United Methodist Church, Tipton, MO with burial immediately following at the Masonic Cemetery, Tipton, MO. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.

The family suggests memorials to Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland.
