Carol Lee Marriott

Carol Lee Marriott, age 68, of Blue Springs, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at her home.
She was born September 5, 1940, in Stover, a daughter of Glen R. and Vival Ersie Need Pryor. On March 17, 1961, Carol was united in marriage to Kenneth D. Marriott and he survives at their home.
She was a graduate of Stover High School. She was employed at Tweedies Manufacturing and the Kansas City Bifocal plant in Versailles for several years. She later co-managed, with her husband, the Bronzwood Turkey Farm in Stover.
For the past 28 years she and Kenny have made Blue Springs their home.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Higginsville, where she was active in the Compassionate Care Ministries.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Steven Marriott and wife Donna of Excelsior Springs; Brenda Lewis and husband Matt of Grain Valley and Tim Marriott and fiancee Kristen Bretch of Kansas City; three brothers, Earl Pryor and wife Suzette of Shreveport, Louisiana; Daniel Pryor and wife Nancy of Concho, Arizona and Gary Pryor of Liberty; three sisters, Dell Hilgar and husband Dale of Gravois Mills; Wanita Faye Silvey and husband Phil of Higginsville and Charlotte Watters and husband Terry of Lee's Summit; ten grandchildren, Jessica, Heather, Stephanie, Thomas, Shelby, Jake, Cassie, Tonia, Jordan and Kaitlin, also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Kimberly Marriott, two brothers, Glen and Edmond Pryor, and one sister, Glendora Cable.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, July 11, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Dan Mahurin officiating. Interment will be in the Versailles Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 P.M. Saturday, July 11, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles.
