Bryan Keith Lundy, age 63, of Benton County, Missouri passed away at home on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Bryan was born October 29, 1962, to Keith and Karen Lundy. On February 1, 1991, he married the love of his life, Kelly Joell Shuster in Savannah, Missouri, which began a beautiful partnership.
In the summer of 1990 Bryan’s father, Keith, passed away. Bryan went to a church in search of answers to his questions, such as: Why do innocent people suffer? Why do we grow old get sick and die? What is the condition of the dead? The church was not able to give him satisfying answers from the Bible. Shortly after, he began studying the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses. He learned the truth about death and the hope of the resurrection and looked forward to the day when he would be reunited with his dad as well as other loved ones he had lost. The Bible’s hope brought him much comfort and peace throughout his life, even when he faced the end of his own life.
The Bible speaks of the resurrection many times. In fact, there are nine resurrection accounts recorded in the Bible including Jesus’ resurrection. These accounts were written in order to bring us comfort and hope. We read at John 11:25 Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.”
Bryan was a loving husband and father who always encouraged his kids to be the best they could be and to be authentic. He was an avid hunter. He also enjoyed traveling with his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and most often was able to see the lighter side of things and make family and friends laugh. He was deeply loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Bryan was a hard worker and had strong work ethics. He worked the majority of years for Herzog Railroad Services based out of St. Joseph, Missouri. His work with Herzog allowed he, his wife and kids to travel much of the United States and parts of Canada.
Bryan is survived by his wife, Kelly Joell Lundy of nearly 35 years, his three children: Joshua Lundy (Telesa) and family, Megan Lundy/Marcum (William) and Hunter Lundy (Lily) and family. His sister Kris Courter (Lundy) and family of St. Joseph, Missouri and his brother Bruce Lundy and family of Savannah, Missouri.
Bryan is preceded in death by his father, Keith Lundy, his mother, Karen (Degase) Lundy, two grandchildren, a grandson, Haiden and a granddaughter, Evalynn.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 1:00 pm at the Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home, 204 W 3rd St., Stover, MO 65078.
