Blanche (Steele) Schroeder

Blanche Schroeder, age 100, of Tipton, MO,  passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at her home.

She was born February 25, 1923, near Florence, MO, a daughter of William "Ed" and Gertrude (McNeal) Steele. She married the love of her life, Marlin Schroeder on November 25, 1944, in Jefferson City.

Blanche attended the Victory Schoolhouse near Florence and then graduated from Syracuse High School in 1942. She worked several years for the Tipton pants factory. She was a loving homemaker and a wonderful wife and mother. She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and later  First Baptist Church of Syracuse.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by seven siblings, Alma Davis, Clara Peoples, Opal Thomas, Anna Belle Steele, Nora Cramer, Jim Steele, and Wray Steele.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane Schroeder of Tipton.

Visitation will be  from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home, Tipton, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 18, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Syracuse, MO with Rev. Harold Nicks, officiating. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jack Combs, Lynn Cramer, Tony Steele, Brian Gose, Danny Knipp, and Derek Loganbill.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Syracuse Cemetery or First Baptist Church Syracuse in care of Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home.
