Bill E. Fields

Bill E. Fields, age 63, of Stover, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at his home.
He was born September 6, 1944, in Brumley, a son of Charles Thomas and Icel Stamper Fields. He married Glenda A. Robbins Brown on March 16, 1979, and she survives at their home.
Bill owned and operated Bill's Construction for 25 years, serving the community with various construction needs. He liked to feel he left "Landmarks" all over the area with the many yards of concrete he poured and finished. He also offered building and bobcat services.
He took great pride in his entire family and daily enjoyed his grandchildren. Bill loved people and enjoyed being with them everywhere he went. He especially liked sharing his fishing and hunting experiences at the local coffee shops.
He attended Big Rock Church near Barnett, and was baptized the 19th day of August in 2007.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Bradley Fields of Farmington; Randy Brown and Jenny VanVleck, Robbie Brown and Jamie Wilson and Rusty Brown and wife Melissa all of Stover; one daughter, Rhonda Dinkins and Shannon Campbell of Versailles; four brothers, Bob Fields and wife Kathleen of Stover; Jerry Fields and wife Kelly of Edwardsville, Illinois; Don Fields and wife Bonnie of Fortuna and Gail Fields and wife Audrey of Eldon; five sisters, Neta Fretuge of Ellsinore; Lois Arnold and husband Kerry of Tipton; Wanda Fields of Tipton; Pam Berg and husband Bruce of Florence and Linda Parrish and husband Wayne of Sedalia; eleven grandchildren, Brandon, Brian, Amber, Andrew and Sean Fields, Ryant Brown, Tyler and Maurin Dinkins, Makayla and Resee Brown and Olivia Armstrong, four great grandchildren, Brooklyn Marie Lewis, Hopelynn Marie Snyder, Quentin James Fields and Kayden Ray Fritz, also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, Edith Comstock Fields and Judy Black Fields, three brothers, Charles, Carl "Blondie" and Carlos Fields, a daughter-in-law, Shawn Brown and an infant grandson, Royce V. Brown.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 8, at the Stover First Baptist Church with Rev. Dick Sanders and Rev. Diane Cutler officiating. Interment will be in the Stover Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 8, at the Stover First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to Benton County Hospice, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, the Big Rock Church Building Fund or the charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover.
