Betty Carol Twenter

Betty Carol Twenter, age 82, of Pilot Grove, Missouri, passed away early Friday, June 21, 2019 at Katy Manor in Pilot Grove.

One of six children, Betty was born January 21,1937 in Pilot Grove to Edward and Elizabeth Twenter.

Betty spent most of her life caring for others. Her nieces and nephews enjoyed having her join in their games when they were young. She would play ball, croquet and other fun activities with them. As Betty's parents grew older, she stayed with them and helped as their health began to fail. Later, while living in the Sr. Housing in Pilot Grove, she remained constant in continuing to see to the needs of others.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Pilot Grove and also a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish. She attended St. John's Catholic Church early in life and in later years, having moved to town, attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She also enjoyed fellowship with the ladies of the Red Hat Society.

Preceding Betty C. Twenter in death were her parents Edward and Elizabeth Twenter; her brother Roger Twenter; her sister Veloris Gerke and an infant sister; sister-in-law Lillian Twenter; and 3 nephews and 1 niece.

Those surviving Betty are her brothers Homer Twenter of Pilot Grove and Ruben Twenter and his wife Pat of Sedalia; sister-in-law Jane Twenter of Pilot Grove; 8 nieces; 10 nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 24, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pilot Grove, Missouri. Rosary will begin at 8:30 a.m. with visitation following until the time of the service. Burial will immediately follow at St.John's Cemetery, (Clear Creek), Pilot Grove.

Memorials for Betty Carol Twenter are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. John's Cemetery.
