Betty Jean (Brant) Knipp

Betty Jean Knipp, 90, of Tipton, MO passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at California Care Center in California, MO.

She was born January 27, 1931, in Bunceton, MO, daughter of Edward W “Paddle” and Gladys Akin Brant, who preceded her in death.

On April 5, 1951, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Betty was married to Ted H. Knipp who preceded her in death on July 20, 1990.

Betty graduated from Tipton High School. She worked for a loan company in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Hecht Drug Store, Co-Mo Electric, and in the warehouse at Gerbes Supermarket. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Tipton.

She is survived by three daughters, Beverly (Rick) Kosman of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Beth Ann (Kenny) Draffen of Versailles, and Mary Lynn (Jim) Ludwig of Jefferson City; one sister, Mary (Bill) Anthony of Jefferson City; four grandchildren, Travis Draffen of Versailles, Ryan (Mindy) Draffen of Republic, Kayla Ludwig (Kevin Hayes) of Columbia, and Eric Ludwig (Emy Young) of Bloomington, Minnesota.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 8, 2021, at First Baptist Church, Tipton, MO with Pastors Jared Rivera and Dusty Klein, officiating.

There will be no public visitation.

Burial will follow at St Andrew Catholic Cemetery, Tipton, MO.

Pallbearers will be Rick Kosman, Kenny Draffen, Jim Ludwig, Travis Draffen, Ryan Draffen, and Eric Ludwig.

Memorial contributions are suggested to First Baptist Church, Tipton, MO.
