Betty N. Kerksiek

Betty N. Kerksiek, age 86 of Sedalia, formerly of Stover, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at the Four Seasons Care Center in Sedalia.
She was born January 17, 1922, in Kettering, England a daughter of Ernest E. and Ellen Bull Fox.
Betty met her future husband while he was serving in the United States Army during World War II. On May 5, 1945, at the Congregational Church in Kettering, England she married Elroy C. Kerksiek. Elroy preceded her in death March 22, 2005.
Betty was a homemaker, busy raising her two children.
Following her husband's return to the United States after the War, Betty joined the Christ Lutheran Church in Stover.
She is survived by two children, Dale Kerksiek and wife Lorraine of Stover and Deborah Mann and husband William of Sedalia; one sister, Molly Wyke of Kettering; two brothers, Terry Fox of Kettering and Gordon Fox of Twywell, England; four grandchildren, Heather Mann, Erin Martinez and husband Jose, Lisa Ross and Amanda DeSantis and husband Adam, three great grandchildren, Harriet and Ethan DeSantis and Matt Martinez, also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Betty was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joan Underwood.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 18, 2008, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover with Rev. John Kiehl officiating. Interment will be in the Stover Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Friday, April 18, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Christ Lutheran Church.
