Betty Jean Harry

Betty Jean Harry, age 90, of Stover, died Tuesday night, July 8, 2008, at the Golden Age Living Center in Stover.
She was born January 24, 1918, in Kansas City, Missouri, a daughter of Frank and Mary C. Hanrahan Norton. She married George V. Harry September 5, 1958, and he preceded her in death April 3, 1979.
Betty was a homemaker. She had resided in the Kansas City area until moving to Stover in 1954.
She was a longtime faithful member of the Stover United Methodist Church and had been a member of the Galloway-Martens American Legion Post 343 Auxiliary in Stover.
She is survived by one daughter, Patty Ann Duffer of Kansas City; three granddaughters, Tamey Duffer, Teresa Ann Duffer and Sandra Renee Worley all of Kansas City; eight great grandchildren, Dustin Wayne Duffer, Brittany Danielle Kenser, Jeremiah Joseph Wallace, Jordan Worley, Courtney Jean Barker, Tori Duffer, Tandra Williamson and Shayle Duffer, one great grandson, Dustin Samuel Duffer, also other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy J. Kaufman and two granddaughters, Brenda Jean Duffer and Tina Marie Duffer.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 11, 2008, at the Stover United Methodist Church with Rev. Diane Cutler officiating. Interment will be in the Kipp Addition of the Stover Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Friday, July 11, at the Stover United Methodist Church.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Stover United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover.
