Betty Jean Fields

Betty Jean Fields, age 75, of Barnett, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
She was born February 26, 1932, in Boonville, a daughter of William J. and Pearl Irene Burks Schirlls. Betty married Henry "Hank" Fields and he survives at their home.
She worked as a waitress and was manager for Wild Woody's Conglomerate Stores in Kansas City.
Betty enjoyed tending to her flowers and in the winter months she kept busy painting ceramics.
Survivors also include five sons, Kurt Fuelling and wife Kim of Tightwad; Richard Tripp of Kansas City, Missouri; Don Tripp and wife Jean of Blue Springs; Darrel Fields and wife Tracey of Barnett and Delbert Fields of Barnett; three daughters, Crystal Stevenson and husband Randall of Versailles; Pam Fuller and husband Sherman of Pleasant Hill and Roxann Fields of Versailles; two brothers, Harold Schirlls and wife Edie of Clinton and Buddy Murray of Tampa, Florida; two sisters, Ruth Tsles and husband Pete of Slidell, Louisiana and Maxine Montgomery of Tampa, Florida; also several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Mike Murray, Donald Emery Schirlls and William Schirlls.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 1, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Dale Bentch and Randy Stevenson officiating. Burial will be in the Versailles Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, August 31, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
