Lee Nichols, 56 years old of Versailles died Monday, March 22, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. She was born April 25, 1964, the daughter of Alan and Dorothy Comstock.
She is survived by two children and their spouses, Cody and Michelle Nichols of Wheatland, and Rachel (Nichols) and Richard Rush of Versailles; eight grandchildren, Adyson Mae Nichols, Wyatt Cooper Rush, Kennedie Grace Rush, Madalyn Renee Nichols, Benton Alan Rush, Jaxson Joseph Rush, Thatcher Reed Nichols and Mackenzie Brooke Rush; two brothers, Jim and his wife, Karen Poole of Denton, Texas, and Rodney Comstock of Versailles; two sisters and their husbands, Bertha (Comstock) and Roger Thyng of Branch, and Kim (Comstock) and Scott Hoffa of Versailles; a brother-in-law, Steve Trotter; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Nichols, her parents, a sister, Brenda Trotter, a sister-in-law, Paula Comstock, and a nephew, J.J. Yoder.
Belinda worked at Citizens Bank for 13 years, Camps Farm Market for 11 years and with Kraft for eight years. She was an avid gardener and was known for being able to grow just about anything. She also loved to do all kinds of crafts. Belinda had a heart to help others. But her greatest joys in life were her children, her grandchildren and being a child of God.
She requested there be no funeral service, but rather a private gathering for family. She will be cremated and buried with her parents in the west lawn addition of the Versailles Cemetery.
