Barbara Ann Stone

Barbara Ann Stone, 62, of Clarksburg, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO.

She was born on November 8, 1962, in Tuscumbia, MO, a daughter of Plaise Pete and Norma Jean (Bilyeu) Phillips. On November 13, 1999, in Clarksburg, MO, she married Leonard Edward Stone who survives of the home.

Barbara was a 1981 graduate of the School of the Osage. She worked many years as a waitress at Mel’s Café in Jefferson City and Stewart’s Restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks. Barbara enjoyed going camping, floating and helping people every chance she could. She loved caring for her puppies and watching horses run.

Survivors include her husband, Leonard; two stepsons, Steven Andrew Stone (Ashley) of Jefferson City, MO, William Edward Baker (Becky) of Osage Beach, MO; one sister, Becky Pitezel (Terry) of Kaiser, MO; three step-grandchildren, Mary Lynn Baker, Brooklyn Stone and Aaron Stone; three nieces, Amy Clark (Kyle), Amanda Sewell (Shelby), Ashley Nelson (Nick).

In addition to both of her parents she was preceded in death by one stepson, James Michael Stone.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until service time on Monday, June 2, 2025, at the Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Tipton, MO. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at the Peninsula Cemetery near Blackwater, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Peninsula Cemetery.
