Barbara Broyles

Barbara Broyles, 90, of Tipton, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at. St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, MO, surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on September 5, 1935, in Mannington Township, New Jersey, a daughter of Thomas and Virginia (Girtain) Gaddy. While growing up in New Jersey, she was affectionately known as “Bobbie” by her parents and siblings. On June 15, 1955, in Lower Alloway Creek Township, New Jersey, she was united in marriage to Billy Don Broyles. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2022.

Barbara had an incredible memory and sharp wit. She dedicated her life to her family, a role she cherished above all else. She spent her working years as a devoted homemaker, lovingly caring for and raising her children. Her home was always a place of comfort, warmth, and steady guidance.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Tipton and enjoyed the friendships and fellowship it brought into her life. Barbara also found joy in participating in local bowling leagues, where she made many lasting memories. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed watching soap operas and game shows, reading, and crocheting Afghans for her family members.

Above all, Barbara treasured time spent with her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she took great pride in the lives they built and the moments they shared together.

Survivors include three children, Jacqueline Broyles-Hofstetter (Wayne) of Tipton, Thom Broyles (Judit) of Gulf Breeze, FL, and Chris Broyles (Melissa) of Tipton; nine grandchildren, Ryan Broyles (Rhoda), Leah Gates (Jason), Travis Broyles, Thomas “T.J.” Broyles (Sherry), Zachary Battles (Amanda), Madelyn Craig (Michael), Brooklyn Broyles, Addie White (Trenton), and Reid Broyles; 15 great-grandchildren; two siblings, James Gaddy of Bridgeton, NJ, and Sharon Jester (Guy) of Salem, NJ.

In addition to both of her parents and her husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Billie Jo Broyles; granddaughter, Macie Elizabeth Broyles; three siblings, Thomasine Jones, Lester Gaddy and Jeannette Gaddy.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Tipton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ryan Broyles, Travis Broyles, Thomas “T.J.” Broyles, Zachary Battles, Reid Broyles, Trenton White, and Michael Craig. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
