Arnold Francis Knipp

Arnold Francis Knipp passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Tipton Oak Manor, in Tipton, Missouri. He was born on July 5, 1942 in Boonville, Missouri, son of Wilbur and Edna Wirths Knipp.

He attended St. Andrew School and graduated from Tipton High School in 1960. He worked at Knipp Motor Parts and was a farmer. He married Jean Vonderahe on January 2, 1965, who preceded him in death on November 8, 1965. On June 7, 1969 he married Ruth (Claas) Knipp who survives at the home. He is a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and Tipton Council 1360 Knights of Columbus.

He is also survived by two sons and their spouses, Dion and Melissa Knipp of Tipton, Missouri; Curtis and Kathy Knipp of Richfield, Minnesota; daughter and her spouse Janelle and Don Doza of Boonville, Missouri. He is also survived by three sisters, Judy (Ron) Orscheln, Olathe, Kansas; Norma (Gary) Allee, Columbia, Missouri; and Linda (Roy) Knipp, Tipton, Missouri. He also has 11 grandchildren: Zachary Knipp, Conner Knipp, Carter Knipp, Abigail Knipp, Ashton Doza, Jadyn Knipp, Kaitlyn Doza, Landon Knipp, Halle Knipp, Ethan Peickert, and Emily Peickert.

Arnie loved to travel and go to the casino. One of his greatest pleasures was sitting outside on his deck barbecuing and enjoying his family.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 27 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Tipton, Missouri with Father Anthony Rinaldo officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery.

A rosary will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, October 26 with the visitation following from 4 - 7 PM at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.
