Anneliese G. Engelmeyer

Mrs. Anneliese G. Engelmeyer, 85, of Tipton, passed away, Saturday, January 9, 2021 at her home.

She was born March 1, 1935 in Esslingen, Germany, the daughter of Thomas and Aloysia Hollacher. On October 25, 1958, in St. Anthony, MO, she married Herman M. Engelmeyer, who passed away June 10, 2006.

Anneliese was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and was employed by the Tipton R-VI school district as a cook until her retirement. She enjoyed being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Anneliese also liked cooking, camping, sewing, being outdoors, as well as watching the hummingbirds and squirrels.

Surviving are three daughters, Alowisia Engelmeyer of Tipton, Janet Massman (Michael) of Meta, MO, Jeane Lyston (Carl) of Tipton; five grandchildren, Michelle Griffin (Adam) of Lebanon, MO, Candace Massman and Nicole Massman both of Columbia, MO, Austin Lyston of Tipton, and Stephanie Engelmeyer (fiancée, Chris Ayers). She is also survived by two sisters, Maria Gebhard, Aloysia Reichenberger; three brothers, Erwin Hollacher, Johann Hollacher, and Ludwig Hollacher all of Germany; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Engelmeyer of Jefferson City, Elizabeth Engelmeyer of the Lake of the Ozarks, and one brother-in-law, John Engelmeyer of St. Anthony, MO. plus, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to both of her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Hollacher, and several in-laws: Benard Engelmeyer, Jim and Christine Luebbering, Edward and Gertrude Rustemeyer, and Steve Engelmeyer.

Due to covid, a Celebration of Life service for Anneliese will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions are suggested to your local animal shelter or the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are in the care of Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton, MO.
