Anna Laura "Annie" Hull

Anna Laura "Annie" Hull age 83, of Versailles, died Saturday night, April 12, 2008, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
She was born December 5, 1924, in Versailles, a daughter of Milton and Emma Lee Ratcliff Campbell. On May 19, 1945, in Kansas City, Annie married J.T. Hull and he survives at their home.
She was a 1944 graduate of Versailles High School.
Soon after she and J.T. married, they moved to Kansas City, where they worked for General Electric. They returned to Versailles and purchased Tops Café and the Tiger Grill, which they owned and operated until J.T. was elected the sheriff of Morgan County in 1956. From 1956 until 1972, Annie assisted her husband in the day to day operations of the jail. She dispatched calls, cooked for the prisoners, along with being a homemaker, busy raising her two sons. In 1973 they purchased the Montgomery Ward Store in Versailles, which they owned until 1977.
She was a faithful member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Versailles.
Annie's home and heart were always open to her family, friends and anyone in need.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kim and Greta Hull and Tim and LaDonne Hull, all of Jefferson City; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Louise Campbell and Milton, Jr., and Lois Campbell all of Versailles; eight grandchildren, Chris, Amy, Adrienne, Paige, Julia, Quintin, Jordan and Emma, three great grandchildren, Harrison, Daniel and Chase, also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ed Campbell and four sisters, Dimple Cornett, Nell Garrison, Gussie Campbell and Eva Watts.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 16, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Versailles with Rev. Diane Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 15, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Arthritis Foundation or the Westminster Presbyterian Church.
