Ann Cave

Ann Cave, 83, of Otterville, Missouri passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Fair View Nursing Home in Sedalia. She was the only child born to A. Turner and Garnett Sappington in Windsor, Missouri.

She was a graduate of Windsor High School and married Cecil Cave on December 20, 1950. She worked for Swift and Company; Blakesly Grocery Store; sold Avon; and worked for Meisenheimer Funeral Home for 25 years.

Music was a very important part of Ann's life and she served as organist for the Presbyterian and Methodist churches in Otterville while playing for many weddings and funerals throughout the years. She also sang in the Sedalia Chorale for many years.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Cecil on June 11, 1998.

She is survived by daughter Marsha Dowdy and her husband Ron of Otterville; sons Lynn Cave and his wife Lisa of Springdale, Arkansas and Jay Cave and his wife Ann of Sedalia; grandchildren Stuart, Brooke, Brandon, Ashley, Kirby, Carson and Kiran; great-grandchildren Autumn, Bailey, and Dalton; half-sister Jean Squires; her cat Mister; and room-mate Esther Ream.

Funeral services for Ann Cave will be 10:00 AM Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Otterville with burial to follow in the Otterville IOOF Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Terry Edwards, Brady Jaco, Ron Hirst, Matt Helmig, Brandon Cave, and Stuart Dowdy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim and Ida Zumsteg, Wanda Lewis, Elsie Simmons, Betty Starke, Shirley Mulvey, and Cheryl Page.
