Alice H, Stubinger

Alice H. Stubinger, age 91, of Lohman, died early Tuesday morning, August 11, 2009, at Adams Street Place in Jefferson City.
She was born September 8, 1917, in Jefferson City, a daughter of J. Edwin and Anna Mueller Loesch. She was baptized September 30, 1917, and confirmed March 20, 1932, at the Zion Lutheran Church near Jefferson City. The confirmation verse chosen was Revelation 2:10 "Be thou faithful unto death and I will give the a crown of life." On April 8, 1942, Alice was united in marriage to Bruno Stubinger at the Zion Lutheran Church and he preceded her in death March 11, 1977.
She was a homemaker, busy raising her three children and helping on the family farm. Alice also worked part-time for the Missouri Department of Conservation.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman, where she was part of the sewing circle.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Elroy and Vera Stubinger of Lohman; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy and Wendell Blackman of Green City and Elda and Tom Volkart of Lohman; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Daniel and Martha Loesch of Lohman and Norman Loesch of Jefferson City; one sister, Edith Hammann of Jefferson City; four grandchildren, Robert Linhart, Jaime Linhart, Nicholas Volkart and Carla Koenig, also seven step grandchildren, two great grandchildren, eight step-great grandchildren, and one step great-great granddaughter.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Nora Linsenbardt.
Services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 14, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Lohman with Pastor Edward Merckel officiating. Interment will be in the St. Pauls Lutheran Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, August 13, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Pauls Lutheran Church, St. Pauls Lutheran Cemetery or Adams Street Place.
