Alice Coghill

Alice Laverne (Boyer) Coghill went home to be with the lord on December 16, 2020 at the age of 86.  She passed peacefully at her home in Sedalia, Mo with family by her side.

Alice was born to Arthur and Daisy (Johns) Boyer in July 1934 in rural Morgan County, Missouri.  She along with 12 brothers and sisters grew up in the Versailles area.  Alice is survived by her brother Jack Wilson and wife Joan of Versailles.  Alice was united in marriage to her now late husband Bob Coghill on June 19, 1968.

To carry on Alice’s legacy, she leaves two sons, Jerry Barker and wife Becky of Evansville, Wyoming, Kevin  McQuerrey and wife Lisa of Urbandale, Iowa, and a step-daughter Stephanie McKinney and husband James of Wichita, Kansas along with 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son Gary Barker of Versailles, step-daughter Pam Creel of Wichita, first husband Elmer Barker and second husband R.L. McQuerrey.

Alice’s occupation was homemaker and she loved taking care of her family.  She enjoyed playing bingo and outings with her sisters and brothers.  She was strong in her faith and valued her Living Waters Assembly of God church family.

A Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2020 at the Versailles Cemetery.  Officiating with be Pastor Ancel Compton.  Social distancing will be observed at the cemetery.
