Albertha Marie Reusch

Albertha M. Reusch, age 78, of Versailles, died Thursday, September 17, 2009, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
She was born June 7, 1931, at Clear Creek, in Cooper County, Missouri a daughter of Arthur and Minnie Kempf Twenter, both deceased. On February 3, 1953, she married Lawrence H. Reusch at St. John's Catholic Church at Clear Creek. He preceded her in death August 9, 2000.
Albertha was a graduate of Pilot Grove High School in Pilot Grove, Missouri.
Before her marriage she worked at Brown Shoe Company. She later worked for the Golden Age Living Center in Stover.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church at Bahner. Albertha resided near Stover until the winter of 2000, when she moved to Versailles.
She enjoyed embroidery, gardening and was gifted at growing African Violets.
Survivors include five daughters and three sons-in-law, Clarine and Russell Eckhoff, Sedalia; Brenda and Randy Scherlinger, Bosworth; Gloria and Russell Jackson, Lincoln; Emily Newman, Versailles and Linda Reusch, Stover; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Sylvester and Georgie Twenter, Otterville and Arthur, Jr., and Rita Twenter, Pilot Grove; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathleen and Hugo Reusch, Greenridge and Joyce and Charlie Carven, Pilot Grove; seven grandchildren, Douglas and David Eckhoff, Anna Spellmeyer, Susan and John Scherlinger, Andrew Hardey and Megan Newman, two step-grandchildren, three great grandchildren, Lauren, Timmy and Jeffrey Eckhoff, four step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 22, at St. John's Catholic Church at Bahner with Father Linus Evers officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery at Bahner.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:30 P.M. Monday, September 21, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles with the Rosary service at 7:30 P.M.
